Adelita Orellana

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Throughout my childhood, I recognized that I experienced and understood the world a little differently than those around me. That awareness sparked a desire to better understand people and support those who may not fit neatly into the boxes or expectations placed around them. I began this journey as a preschool teacher, gradually expanding my work as an Early Interventionist, and eventually becoming a Psychotherapist.

It is both a joy and an honor for me to work with individuals, families, and child-parent dyads. I have experience and training in supporting children and adolescents navigating behavioral and emotional challenges related to life and family transitions, traumatic experiences, and adjustment to a Neurodevelopmental Disorder diagnosis. I also enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ adults, neurodivergent adults, and individuals processing and healing from experiences rooted in childhood.

Working with young minds has taught me how deeply early attachment experiences can shape our adult relationships, coping patterns, emotional regulation, and sense of self-worth. These experiences inform the way I understand and support each client’s unique story.

I strive to create a space that is culturally humble, trauma-informed, collaborative, strength-based, and client-centered. Above all, my mission to to help clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to better understand themselves, build meaningful connections, and move toward healing in ways that honor their individual.

Our evaluation team will guide you through the entire process, including the initial assessment and diagnosis to connect you with providers to support your child’s specific needs.
