Claudette Bañares is a pediatric speech-language pathologist (SLP) who works with children in early intervention, preschool, and school-aged children. She is dedicated to helping children share their unique ways of communicating with their families and loved ones. Claudette comes from a bicultural background (Filipina-American) and specializes in supporting families that are raising their children to be bilingual communicators. She speaks English, Spanish, and Tagalog and provides therapy within a bilingual context if needed. Claudette has extensive experience supporting multimodal communicators, or children who utilize a variety of modalities to communicate (e.g., words/verbalizations, signs, gestures, body language, & AAC).
